Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 August 2026

These terms govern your use of the Business Domains website and any brokerage or valuation request you submit through it. By using the site you accept them.

1. What we do

We act as an intermediary. In brokerage we identify and approach the owner of a domain you want to acquire, negotiate on your behalf and coordinate closing through escrow. In valuation we produce an independent written estimate of a domain's market value. We do not own or warrant the availability of any third-party domain.

2. Requests are not a contract

Submitting a form starts a conversation; it does not create an engagement. An engagement begins only when we confirm scope, fees and terms in writing and you accept them. We may decline any request at our discretion.

3. Fees

Brokerage is success-based: no brokerage fee is payable unless the acquisition completes on terms you approved. Valuation fees, when charged, are quoted before work starts. Escrow, registrar and transfer costs are charged at cost by the relevant provider.

4. Valuations are opinions

A valuation is a professional opinion based on comparable sales, demand data, extension, length and commercial use at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of sale price, an offer to buy, financial advice or a formal appraisal for any regulated purpose unless expressly agreed. You remain responsible for your own decisions.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete information, including your authority to act for a domain.
  • Do not use the service for unlawful purposes, trademark infringement or cybersquatting.
  • Keep negotiation details confidential while a deal is live.

6. Confidentiality

We keep your identity and deal terms confidential and do not disclose them to a counterparty without your instruction, except where an escrow or transfer step requires it or the law compels disclosure.

7. No guarantee of outcome

Domain owners are free to refuse or to name any price. We cannot guarantee that a name can be acquired, or acquired within a given budget or timeframe.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the engagement concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost opportunity. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

9. Intellectual property

The site content, branding and valuation reports remain our property; a delivered report is licensed to you for your own business use and may not be republished as an independent appraisal without our written consent.

10. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the version published here at the time you submit a request applies to it. Questions: hello@businessdomains.com.
